Falcon 2000EX Interior

History

Eight years after the successful release of the Falcon 2000, Dassault came up with a new Falcon model, the Falcon 2000EX. Dassault took the same ideas and components of the F2000 such as being economical, fast and large in size, and made improvements to it. The cabin of the Falcon 2000EX has more than 1,000 cubic feet in volume and seats between 8 and 12 passengers; it can be configures to seat 19 passengers, but few were configured this way. This jet has available 131 cubic feet of baggage space, meaning that it holds approximately 1,600 pounds. Two Pratt & Whitney Canada PW308C engines give energy to the Falcon 2000EX. Each of these engines provide 7,000 pounds of thrust. Even though the F-2000EX has a fuel capacity that is 3,800 pounds heavier than the Falcon 2000, it manages to be just as economical as the F-2000 but with a larger range thanks to the updated engines. The Falcon 2000EX has a high speed cruise of 482 knots at 39,000 feet of altitude and its long range cruise speed is 421 knots at 43,000 feet. While carrying six passengers, the Falcon 200EX can fly 4,370 miles (3,850 nautical miles) at .80 Mach - 920 miles further than the Falcon 2000. This jet is equipped with fault monitoring and digital diagnostic systems which makes troubleshooting problems much easier.

The Falcon 2000 was the first private jet designed by Dassault that didn't use a physical model with new digital design software.

At the time of the 2000's release, few other private jets could complete trips of 3,450 miles at .80 Mach with eight passengers. For that matter, few jets offered as much passenger comfort as does the Falcon 2000, such as seats that can be configured as beds. Dassault turned one of their great successes into an even better achievement with the Falcon 2000EX.
